Earlier this month we shared an orange colorway of Nike’s Mercurial Tn. Today, a new iteration surfaces incorporating navy and royal blue. The soccer-inspired silhouette adds upper styling inspired by the Mercurial soccer boot with the usual sole unit of the Air Max Plus. Premium leather is used on the aforementioned upper with a large “Tn” stamp found on the heel of each lateral side. Nike‘s Swoosh logo is added to each toebox with an iridescent midfoot plate included for the final touch.
There’s no confirmation on when these will drop, but they’re expected to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers later this summer.
Key Features: A reworked, football-inspired Mercurial upper is placed on an Air Max Plus sole unit, featuring the signature exposed Air Unit in the heel and forefoot. Nike Swoosh branding is found on the toebox, while TN branding is present on the heel.
Release Date: The black and orange colorways will be available on May 17, with the white colorway to follow on May 31.
Price: £145 // €165 (approximately $195 USD)
Buy: Nike and Footlocker UK and EU
Editor’s Notes: The 2018 FIFA World Cup is less than a month away and Nike is ramping up its street-ready options for the fashion-conscious fan with its latest hybrid sneaker.
Both shoes launched in 1998 and have quickly set the benchmark in their respective domains, the Air Max Plus on the streets and the Mercurial on the field. Now, 20 years later, the two silhouettes have been combined for an extra special release ahead of the World Cup. Coming in three distinct colorways, the orange detailing on each pair is sure to turn heads.
Drawing from what has been working best for the Swoosh recently — exaggerated logos and hybrid sneakers — the Nike Mercurial TN is a perfect crossover for sneakerheads and football fans alike.

In the meantime, you can also check out the model’s white/orange and black/orange colorways.
Following its White/Orange and Black/Orange editions, Nike’s Mercurial Tn is back in a third colorway. Orange returns to cover its entire upper with black accents on the toebox’s oversized Swoosh and Tn stamp towards the heel. Its white midsole houses the visible orange Air Max units as an iridescent shank provides a contrast from the upper and sole unit.
The soccer-inspired Mercurial Tn will release in orange on May 17 via Nike.com and at select retailers such as Foot Locker UK and EU.
